Earth and Fire International Ceramic Fair is one of the country’s premier ceramic events taking place every year in North Nottinghamshire. For over twenty years, selected potters from across the UK and mainland Europe have come to sell direct to the public from outdoor market stalls, and it has a new venue for 2017!
Every year over 3,000 of the most promising graduate talents from Britain’s leading design courses exhibit at New Designers in London. A great opportunity to be the first to discover new talent.

The Lace Study Day has been designed as an introduction to lace for those who have little or no knowledge of the subject. The day will begin with an illustrated talk about what constitutes lace, including images of historic and contemporary work. Using examples from the Textile Collection at the University for the Creative Arts, participants will then have the opportunity to study, at first hand, a wide variety of laces.

Now well established as one of the most important events in the ceramics calendar, the Art in Clay Pottery & Ceramics Festival returns to Hatfield House in August. The makers range from young imaginative students and relative newcomers to leading National and International makers.
The team behind the cult magazine Selvedge bring a curated collection of fifty merchants and makers to Edinburgh. The exhibitors sell a range of rare vintage fabrics, covetable haberdashery and skilfully handmade textile treasures. The fair offers the perfect opportunity to meet makers, catch up with old friends and find that special something.

Nourish – Bovey Tracey’s festival of music, craft and food – will be returning for its fourth year this coming September.
The Geffrye’s annual celebration of ceramics returns in September, showcasing the work of over 50 potters from across the UK.
