Rachel Morley Feltmaker & Fine Artist

category: Textiles & Stitch - Interiors

region: East Midlands

Rachel Morley creates unique felt items by hand using predominantly British breed wool fibres and combining them with natural and dyed wool yarns. Inspired by the coastal landscape of South West Scotland and its wonderful colours and textures, Rachel’s range includes Doorstops, Cubby Bowls, Cubbyholes, Natural Bowls, Pebble Pods and Pebble Bowls. Her new ‘Sketch’ range brings a drawn element to her felting and uses all British breed wools and yarns. Rachel is striving to make use of some of our rarest British Breed Wool fibres in her felt and source them directly from small British farms, adding a valuable provenance to her work. Her Fine Art background (B.A.Hons Fine Art) adds a sculptural feel to the items she creates and all are individually hand made in her home studio in Leicestershire.

Rana Cullimore

category: Glass   Mixed Media and Recycled

region: South West

I have been creating mosaic art for many years as a hobby. My first heart shaped mosaic came to life when I wanted to make something from a chipped dinner plate that belonged to my Grandparents to remember them by. As well as using the traditional materials of recycled china and colourful mosaic tesserae my love of the sea and beach combing has also influenced my work.

Some pieces have a coastal theme using pebbles, driftwood and shells. I also incorporate glass beads which is another fascination of mine. The nature of the materials I use on my mosaics makes each piece individual and unique. All the pieces are designed and handmade by me in my home….far away from the sea!

I started to realise how people spend time fidgeting with jewellery, sometimes for comfort or just while day dreaming, even if they realise it or not. I found this very interesting and it inspired me to create a collection of wearable jewellery that is also very tactile – pieces that want to be touched as well […]

Rebecca Lawley Jewellery

category: Jewellery and Silverware

region: North West

For many years Rebecca has focused on designing and making silver tableware, alongside this she has always made jewellery to commission. She has now created a range of jewellery that compliments her tableware designs. The “Cluster” range was originally working predominately in gold with precious stones but now also includes pieces in silver with organic shaped semi-precious stones. This range is all produced by manipulating small pieces of silver or gold into nuggets and then clustering them with the stones, to create softly curved sculptural pieces of jewellery.
