Lauren Hunt Jewellery Designs

category: Jewellery and Silverware

region: South West

I use traditional goldsmithing methods to handcraft delicate fine jewellery, and have been a practising metalsmith for over 6 years. I favour a timelessly organic, feminine, modern romantic aesthetic, and draw inspiration from the metals and gemstones I work with as well as earthy textures and soft colour palettes. Much of my work is hammer textured and features unusual rose cut precious gemstones.

My work is made to order from eco-friendly materials and meticulously sourced gemstones and provides an ethical alternative to mass produced fine jewellery.

Lauren Taylor

category: Jewellery and Silverware

region: North West

Lauren Taylor is a British designer, based in south Manchester. Following a jewellery summer school at the Goldsmiths Centre, Lauren unearthed a passion for contemporary craft and handmade jewellery, and after graduating from Manchester School of Art in Three Dimensional Design, she continued her studies there, and completed a Jewellery Masters Degree in 2015.

Inspired by Manchester’s roots in the industrial revolution, Lauren hand spins cotton thread into rope, embedding time and skill into the very fibres of her jewellery. Combining unconventional jewellery materials with traditional techniques, she produces work with a strong contemporary feel. All work is made in Lauren’s south Manchester studio where the focus is producing high quality, hand crafted products.

LeChatPonti

category: Fashion Accessories

region: London

Artist, designer, seamstress, I make no difference between fine and applied arts. Autodidact, I enjoy working with and on a variety of media and materials. Mixed-media artworks, linoleum and woodcut prints become textile designs that are screen-printed by hand onto bags, T-shirts and the likes. Fabric inspires me to design and sew bags and purses that combine elegance, ingenuity and practicality.

Each creation is hand-crafted and unique in its materials, colours, play on designs; they can be made to order and customised to your specifications.

My pieces are finished with lustre, on-glazes, oxides and fired to stoneware temperature or smoke fired. My smoke fired tableware is sealed with Liquid Quartz and is food, dishwasher and microwave safe.

Lindsey Kennedy Portfolio

category: Mixed Media and Recycled   Mosaics

region: West Midlands

Originally I trained as a jeweller and silversmith at Birmingham School of Jewellery, but I have transferred my skills to designing and making mosaics. Still gem-setting in lots of ways with highly reflective materials, just on a larger scale! I am currently inspired by the positive/negative patterns created by tree branches and the richness of highly decorative East European embroidery – bright colours against dark backgrounds.

I work to commission, on exterior and interior panels and I’m creating a range of work to sell online, in local galleries and from my studio. Prices range from £20-£300 for existing work and £350-£4000 for commissioned mosaics.

‘Drawing inspiration from themes of collecting memories I create playful jewellery which might explore a fleeting moment, a chance encounter or a material souvenir charged with meaning. Lisa Taylor Jewellery

category: Jewellery and Silverware

region: Wales

I studied B.A Hon’s Applied Art at Glyndwr University in North Wales, specialising in jewellery design. I use different materials within my work, mainly textiles and silver, but also resin. Colour is my main inspiration and I like to find alternative ways of using colour in my work. For my final degree show collection I used the technique of tatting hand dyed silk yarn. I then used the tatting in a unique way to create a range of textile and silver necklaces. I took colour inspiration for the collection from Victorian botanical water colour illustrations, and I have continued to expand the colour range of this collection. The silk is hand dyed giving each piece a unique quality. Prices range from £20 up to £249 for a one off piece.

Little Mill House

category: Mixed Media and Recycled   Textiles & Stitch - Interiors

region: Yorkshire

I upcycle vintage materials such as tea towels, scarves and glasses into beautiful cushions and gifts. The idea for Little Mill House came from my obsession with hunting vintage items and needing a creative way to free them from storage. It then became an excuse to continue hunting lovely items and share them with other people. I was taught by my auntie to sew as I was growing up and have had professional tuition by a private tutor to perfect my techniques. Everything is made at home by myself and quality is a priority.

Little Ram Studio

category: Printmaking

region: Yorkshire

Little Ram Studio is Gary and Heather Ramskill – both artists & printmakers, we produce original prints from our home studio in a quiet North Yorkshire village. Specialising in linocut printing, we use the surrounding countryside and the many wildlife visitors to our garden as inspiration for our art. Each one lovingly made by hand, from the hand cutting of the lino plate to the mixing of the inks and the pressing of the paper on a hand press.

Gary’s style and technique, whether using a single or multiple colour plates, is to capture the finest detail, not in the photographic sense but one step removed from the identical representation, as if through a muted lens.

Heather’s print style takes inspiration from all things natural, especially favourite landscapes and the soft shapes of flowers. She tries to capture the strokes of the water colourist in her printmaking.
