I create bold textile jewellery by fusing traditional techniques with sculptural forms and contemporary colours. Combining textiles with precious metals, I explore the idea of making a two-dimensional fabric into a three-dimensional form through weaving, folding and knotting. For Your Beads Only

For Your Beads Only is bold and beautiful jewellery made by Sulamith Kilian-Carter. Every piece is individually handcrafted with much thought and care. Sulamith uses a wide range of materials to create her jewellery, from colourful handmade Indian lampwork glass beads, semi-precious gemstones, natural shell and wooden beads to vintage and recycled beads and fabric to ensure a unique look and finish.
The impressions and experiences collected during her travels in South America, and her studies into different material cultures, have motivated her to become a jewellery designer and have a strong influence on her work today. Every piece has its own personality and is given a name which best reflects the inspiration drawn on and material used to make it.

Catherine is a designer maker from Devon who creates handmade silver jewellery which incorporates brass, copper and bead work. A fascination with birds inspires a lot of her work – drawings of birds watched from her Dartmoor studio and on travels further afield are incorporated into the designs for each piece. She tries to create designs which are delicate and include movement to evoke some of the qualities of the birds which she studies. Catherine is largely self taught and developed her style working with bird imagery, contrasts between Silver and Brass, engraving and oxidation techniques.
