Resin is an extremely versatile material that excites my curiosity because of its ability to be many things; sinuous or angular, transparent or saturated with rich dense colour, large in scale but extremely light, frosted or highly polished. Utilising these inherent working properties enables resin’s precious qualities to be revealed. Using traditional jewellery techniques I […]

I source Victorian and Edwardian animal etchings which I edit and collage to create contemporary designs.   Ideas often come from my anthropomorphic take in the images I find in the old encyclopaedias I collect.

Once the design is in place I turn it into prints and lampshades with a difference. All of my designs are produced with a story in mind and a desire to raise a smile from a moment of nostalgia and recognition. The mix of Victorian illustrations with the stylish monochrome of the designs means that they are equally suited to a classic home or a modern flat making them an excellent choice for most tastes.  My products range from £25 to £125.

Naomi Tracz makes elegant and wearable jewellery using silver, gold and semi-precious stones. With a background in fine art and photography she enjoys experimenting with contrasts of light and texture, always striving for simplicity of line and form. She takes her inspiration from the natural world and also her interest in the art and jewellery of the ancient world.

Naomi employs traditional metal working techniques including piercing, etching and Keum Boo (the ancient Korean art of fusing 24 carat gold foil) as well as working with modern materials such as epoxy resins and acrylics.

nbNg is the collection of fold-formed work made by designer-maker Nettie Birch of Ng Jewellery. Very different from her other jewellery and born from a desire to explore how metals move naturally rather than forcing shapes upon them, the pieces reflect organic forms and sweeping shapes. Using the maleability of copper and, more unusually the strength and lightness of aluminium, large pieces have been created which can be scaled for more everyday wear.

Possible Mirror

category: Furniture & Wood

region: London

Possible mirror specializes in making bespoke mirrors in a variety of natural woods and hand painted finishes. There is an ever-expanding range of designs to choose from and we welcome commissions. We make conventional mirrors, including oversize ones, but our unique feature are Box and Picture Mirrors.

Box Mirrors contain objects – shells, marbles, small glasses, eggs, dried flowers and so on. The interior walls of these mirrors also become part of the design using maps, fabric, collage, and even faux fur. Each mirror is different to some degree and some are unique – items sourced at the nearby Spitalfields Market will not be available again.

Picture mirrors incorporate images into the mirror design. All Picture Mirrors have anti UV glass to prevent deterioration. An attractive ‘antiqued’ mirror glass is also available and this can be used in any of the mirrors we make. Prices are from £50.00.

I create vibrant contemporary artworks for interior spaces. Constructed from layers of translucent textiles, which I have hand-dyed in a joyous range of colours, the artworks are adorned with hand-cut patterns and stitch. Colours are carefully selected for each piece to convey a mood and each handcrafted artwork is unique or part of a very small edition.

My love of colour and textiles is brought together with my interest in changes in light, new experiences and the rhythms and patterns of nature.  Current works are influenced by my local river in London, the shorelines and seas of Britain and travels in Latin America. I work from my studio in East London and also teach creative textiles.

It’s still a mystery to me exactly how inspiration works in designing and making my jewellery. My work has been described as ‘classic but edgy’ and this aptly captures both my love of elegant, clean-lined forms and a taste for things asymmetric.

I make predominantly in sterling silver, using traditional bench skills to form handmade pieces from sheet, wire and chenier.  My range of silver and gemstone necklaces incorporates elements cast from my own handmade silver originals, often combining them with unusual gemstone beads as featured in this collection.

From my first evening-class encounter with a soldering torch twelve years ago, I was hooked on designing and making jewellery.  Now it is my full-time business. I am based in a shared workshop in Stratford, east London, a stone’s throw away from the Olympic Park and my work is on display at the JeDeCo gallery at the Oxo Tower in London.

I like to take inspiration from unusual sources such as Sci-Fi movies and early 20th century art movements such as Futurism and Surrealism. I primarily work in silver which I contrast with oxidised copper parts. I use traditional jewellery making techniques including stone setting and riveting. I try to divide my time between making large original pieces intended for galleries and displays while also creating smaller but stylised pieces intended for retail.

I studied at Plymouth College of Art on the Contemporary Craft course which put a lot of emphasis on hand making techniques as well as well as innovative new designs. I grew up in London which is where I am now based.
