My work combines techniques from textiles and printmaking traditions, the two often combining to make abstract contemplative pieces that celebrate and carry an essence of what I experience in the natural world. I aim to draw the viewer in, invite them to look closer and perhaps notice things they might otherwise have over-looked. I work with paper and cloth as well as making use of materials gathered from the places I walk.
My work ranges from large-scale installations for specific spaces to intimate framed artworks and artists’ books. Each piece develops by layering up marks and textures, building up subtle surfaces and exploring materials through the making process. I use found metal objects with tea to make marks on paper, silk and linen, making use of natural dye techniques. I set things up and watch them develop, responding to the marks that appear with further layers of print and the contoured lines of hand stitch.

My work is inspired by a love of the natural world, and an interest in folklore and fairy tales. I’m also slightly obsessed with pattern and decoration! […]

I live in the foothills of The Mendips in Somerset, UK, taking inspiration from the hills and woods around me. Following a course in silver (a totally new medium to me) my love of trees and interest in silver joined paths, and exploring metal clay I discovered a totally new way of working with silver, combining silver and leaves to create a new art form.
My silver leaf jewellery is unique as each leaf is an exact copy/impression of a real leaf and literally unique. Using a painstaking process each leaf takes several weeks to make but with care, the result can be perfect.
In addition to Silver, I also work with glass, combining glass and different metals, like silver, copper or brass. When silver is added in the form of silver leaf or silver wire, the effects are amazing. These pieces of glass can either be worn as jewellery or be mounted together in a picture frame.
I am very lucky to have worked with some wonderful people, learning Cyanotype among other processes. This fascinating medium allows me to to use transparencies of photos I have taken, allowing the sun to do the magic.

I am a Saltaire based artist and printmaker. My work is inspired by my travels to some of the world’s most beautiful cities including Paris, Venice and New York. Working in a lively drawing style I aim to capture the excitement, life and vibrancy of each location I visit, documenting my travels through the use of sketchbooks and photographs. On returning to my studio I then produce mixed-media paintings, original screenprints & drypoints, limited edition prints and handmade cards. These are exhibited throughout the U.K. in regular solo and group shows.
Closer to home I have also produced a series of work capturing the rugged beauty and charm of Yorkshire’s much loved coastal towns: Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Staithes.

My background is fine art, I then spent 15 years as a community artist facilitating creativity in others, a few years ago I found screenprinting to be the best way of reproducing my ideas, I like to use collaged vintage paper under prints and use fabrics to make useful and beautiful items. My themes seem to always be about nature but whatever the subject I love to celebrate the scratchy hand drawn line.

I am self taught and create multiple plate Linocuts using a traditional letterpress at the Gloucestershire Printmaking Co-operative where I am a member.
I draw my inspiration for my work mainly from British flora and fauna. The style of work is strong and graphic and often references the Arts and Crafts movement which has rubbed off on me after living in the Cotswolds for a decade where the movement is in evidence all around.

Hannah Cantellow is a Wiltshire based artist and trained printmaker, she has specialised in both Fine Art and Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking and later completed her MA in Social Sculpture at Oxford Brookes University. It was during this time that she explored other ways of being in and with the natural world, which enabled her to deepen her artistic sense of self and pursue her impulse for storytelling.
Observing, making and learning with nature through being immersed in its many wondrous forms has been a fascination for Hannah since she can remember. The objects she collects call out to her and provide a vital resource as her cabinet of curiosities at her printmaking studio in Devizes. Hannah specialises in creating original limited edition linocut and woodcut prints in her studio and teaches printmaking workshops across Wiltshire. She was recently featured in Country Living Magazine.
Walking informs much of her practice and she draws upon these connected experiences to create printed images that tell their own unique story, which she calls token of place. Inspired by Wiltshire’s rolling hills, stone circles and the iconic clumps of trees, wherever she walks, the landscape brings continuous inspiration through its patterns of enchantment and magical charm.

I have always loved to draw. But a lightbulb moment happened when driving along my local high street, observing the vibrancy and activity of a community – shoppers and parents getting from one point to another; pathways crossing and intersecting, given context when placed against recognisable shops and schools. I realised that this passing of […]

I am a teacher and artist living and working in Brighouse, West Yorkshire. I was an art teacher with a degree in Visual Arts and Culture, but 10 years ago I wanted to develop my own practice away from school and discovered an outlet for my ideas and creativity through completing a City and Guilds in embroidery, and my business, HanneMADE, was started.
I love mixing media together and the theme of journeys runs throughout my work, be they my own journeys collecting inspiration or my materials’ journey, as I upcycle where possible. I use a range of techniques in my work from mono screen printing, digital printing, college, many textile techniques, print… and I love to stitch, be that with my machine or by hand. I produce a range of pieces of work from unique framed pieces, pieces to wear (brooches and pendants) and greeting cards.

I am a printmaker, working primarily with linocuts and collagraph techniques. I am a trained Architect and completed my PhD in 2004. My handmade, limited edition prints are all made from my original sketches that are inspired by my life around me, and by seeing the beauty in the mundane. You will also see a layered colour palette, often bright but muted, and subtle. I aim to create prints that can inspire a smile, a memory, and a piece of art that you can form your own personal associations with.
Having studied Architectural Conservation, mark-making is of specific interest and how different surfaces and cutting methods can give individuality to a piece. With price range mostly between £15-£65, they are an affordable means to collect original, handmade and unique art.

I’m a printmaker influenced by ceramics, pattern and seasonal botanicals, finding inspiration in the everyday fallen treasures.
