I have been working as a stained glass artist since 1994. Using these techniques I make individual pieces of jewellery and mosaic. Using the copperfoil method (glass, copperfoil and lead free solder), my jewellery combines glass, paper collage and mixed media. I also make glass and paper tiles that I use in mosaics. All of my work can be personalized, incorporating text, names or dates into the collage.

I create sterling silver earrings, necklaces and bracelets using my own handcrafted lampwork glass beads in my home studio in Cheshire, England. Formed in a hot flame using a propane and oxygen powered torch, each lampwork bead is individually handmade and unique.
My lampwork glass forms the focal part of my jewellery designs, each one a tiny little work of art. There is something hypnotic about working with hot glass, manipulating it in the flame and using a combination of heat and gravity to control the flow and create something beautiful. I learn something new every time I fire up my torch, and hope that my fascination with glass translates into my jewellery.

Contemporary hand made glass beads. I create each bead individually in a flame, and they then grow into unique pieces of jewellery. I started my career as a glass blower and have gradually began working in a smaller scale to work more intricately with colour.
Enjoying superposing the light of juicy transparent glass, and the deep pithy intensity of opaque colours. By peeling through these layers it’s possible to create edible fruit like seeds – chilli pepper and pomegranate, kiwi and prickly pear…spikey gooseberry or peppery damson.

I live in the foothills of The Mendips in Somerset, UK, taking inspiration from the hills and woods around me. Following a course in silver (a totally new medium to me) my love of trees and interest in silver joined paths, and exploring metal clay I discovered a totally new way of working with silver, combining silver and leaves to create a new art form.
My silver leaf jewellery is unique as each leaf is an exact copy/impression of a real leaf and literally unique. Using a painstaking process each leaf takes several weeks to make but with care, the result can be perfect.
In addition to Silver, I also work with glass, combining glass and different metals, like silver, copper or brass. When silver is added in the form of silver leaf or silver wire, the effects are amazing. These pieces of glass can either be worn as jewellery or be mounted together in a picture frame.
I am very lucky to have worked with some wonderful people, learning Cyanotype among other processes. This fascinating medium allows me to to use transparencies of photos I have taken, allowing the sun to do the magic.

I design and make contemporary kiln formed glassware including home accessories, personalised gifts, jewellery, wall art and splashbacks. Exploring colour combinations and mixing translucent, opalescent, iridised and dichroic glass with metal inclusions, I also experiment with different temperatures to create perfectly smooth or highly tactile pieces. My work is predominantly abstract, defined by the fabulous range of colours available. Nature is a major source of inspiration – geological patterns and elements, trees branches and roots, shore findings – but it is the material itself, the way it transforms from solid to liquid and reveals its amazing hues and textures which keeps firing my passion for glass.
Originally a mosaic artist, I trained in Bristol and work from my studio near Pershore where I run workshops and have a number of kilns and workbench space available for hire by glass fusing enthusiasts.

To combine knitting and glass just seems like a natural form of self expression for me… I moved to Plymouth in 2004 to attend The Plymouth College of Art and instantly fell in love with the waterfront city. Living in Plymouth, surrounded by the sea and the moors, I find I am never short of […]

I’m a flamework glass artist, jewellery maker and hotglass workshop facilitator with over 15 years of practice and research. I create art glass beads, small batch production jewellery ranges and one-off gallery pieces. In 2005 I began researching and practising a hot glassworking process known as ‘Lampwork’ or ‘Flamework’ which involves melting and sculpting glass rods in a torch flame to create unique glass components and beads. This technique and my love of glass as the perfect malleable medium forms the core of my practice today.
My work combines an abstract, tactile, organic aesthetic with an appreciation of the historical role of glass beads as talisman, exchange and currency to create wearable, meaningful jewellery incorporating a contemporary interpretation of the glass bead. I finish my handmade glass pieces with sterling silver (sustainable recycled) goldfill chain, silk or leather. All work is handmade by myself in my studio: I pride myself on working to the highest standards with intricate attention to detail, and welcome commissions.

I am interested in exploring the many possibilities offered by stained and fused glass, and my work includes door panels, wall panels, and jewellery, sometimes incorporating other materials such as copper wire.
