Education & Outreach Manager, The Harley Gallery

The Harley Gallery are recruiting for an Education and Outreach Manager to join their small, dedicated learning team.  The role focuses on the development and delivery of an outstanding programme of activities for visitors, special interest groups, schools and colleges.

They are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for the arts and working creatively to engage audiences.

The position is part-time, 3 days per week, and is subject to a DBS check.

Our Education Programme aims to engage and inspire, offering an approach to art and heritage that is relaxed and jargon-free.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop creative and original gallery activities for educational institutions and special interest groups.
  • Ensuring our Education Programme remains relevant to the wider work of the Foundation.
  • To manage bookings and deliver services for educational group visits, including health and safety and safeguarding issues.
  • To promote the organisation and build relationships with educational institutions and special interest groups.
  • To maintain and manage ongoing professional relationships and partnerships.
  • Managing the Education Programme budget.
  • Maintaining up-to-date risk assessments and safeguarding policies.
  • Managing and maintaining the Education Studio.
  • Assisting with the organisation’s events and exhibition openings.
  • General administration and housekeeping.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the role that may be required to support the organisation.
