Curator, Decorative Art: Leeds Museums and Galleries

Leeds Museums and Galleries seek to appoint a curator with a specialism in decorative art to be based at Temple Newsam.

The Designated collections of fine and decorative arts are wide-ranging and include paintings, furniture, ceramics, metalwork, flat textiles and wallpapers. The curator will be responsible for the development, care, access and interpretation of these important collections.

The collections are primarily displayed within the context of the two country houses which are part of Leeds Museums and Galleries, Lotherton and Temple Newsam and these sites will form the primary focus of the curator’s work. The curator will line-manage the assistant curator based at Lotherton.
