Take a peek into the creative spaces of York’s artists, makers and designers when they open up their studios for free as part of the York Open Studios event.
Discover hidden parts of York, from historic streets, to leafy suburbs and country cottages whilst tracking down studios of all shapes and sizes packed full of pottery, paintings, prints, textiles, jewellery, furniture and much more.
Shared artist spaces such as the Pica Studios, set within a historic 18th Century printworks, offer the chance to meet a variety of artists working side by side in jewellery, textiles, illustrations, painting and printmaking. It’s also worth paying a visit to The Arnup Studios, a newly-opened complex with a fabulous selection of artists and makers to explore.
