“At Flameworks, we host a community of professional artists ranging from painters and illustrators to blacksmiths and sculptors and provide communal facilities and equipment that allow artists and recent graduates to continue their professional practice. The craft shop supplies books, magazines, kits and UK-made craft gifts. The Byre is open three times a year with exhibitions held in spring, summer and at Christmas, and always online.

Open access ceramic studios – a warm and welcoming atmosphere; a beautiful space in a beautiful place where you will hopefully be inspired and inspire others.
The Clay Loft uses a simple membership scheme to provide open access to people wanting to develop their ceramic skills or to simply enjoy making with clay in a friendly and relaxing sociable setting. Members pay a monthly fee for access to the studio and the use of all facilities and materials. A technician will be on hand to guide and troubleshoot but learning will be by exploration and the mutual support of the members. As well as open access, regular classes are run for beginners (typically non-members) as well as process specific masterclasses.
