Fairfield Mill

Farfield Mill is an arts and heritage centre owned and run by Farfield Mill Limited, a charitable community benefit society.

Housed in a former Victorian Woollen Mill, it has beautiful gallery spaces, artists’ studios, power looms and handlooms set over four floors, displaying, and selling a range of contemporary craft, art, and jewellery, handcrafted and designed in the Mill and surround area.

It’s open Wednesday – Sunday 10.30am – 4.00pm.

Farnham Maltings

Flameworks Creative Arts Facility

Established in 2000 by former staff and students of Plymouth College of Art, Flameworks Creative Arts Facility is one of the largest managed workspaces in Devon and Cornwall.

“At Flameworks, we host a community of professional artists ranging from painters and illustrators to blacksmiths and sculptors and provide communal facilities and equipment that allow artists and recent graduates to continue their professional practice.  We host an array of events, exhibitions and courses every year, including 4 quarterly Open Days, which allow members of the public to come in and have a go at some of the wonderful and unique activities we have to offer. Leicester Print Workshop

Leicester Print Workshop is the Midlands centre for fine art printmaking – home to a large open access studio in central Leicester that houses equipment for silkscreen, stone and plate lithography, etching, engraving, relief and letterpress.

They offer pay-as-you-go independent access or fully assisted support to artists wanting to make original prints. They also have an exhibition space with a regularly changing programme of print related exhibitions which are free to view and also host events and activities, including artist talks and demonstrations.

The Clay Loft

Open access ceramic studios – a warm and welcoming atmosphere; a beautiful space in a beautiful place where you will hopefully be inspired and inspire others.

The Clay Loft uses a simple membership scheme to provide open access to people wanting to develop their ceramic skills or to simply enjoy making with clay in a friendly and relaxing sociable setting.  Members pay a monthly fee for access to the studio and the use of all facilities and materials. A technician will be on hand to guide and troubleshoot but learning will be by exploration and the mutual support of the members.  As well as open access, regular classes are run for beginners (typically non-members) as well as process specific masterclasses.

The Glasgow Ceramics Studio

This open plan studio is currently home to around 20 ceramic artists – a vibrant, friendly work environment for ceramic artists in Glasgow, Scotland.

Hire a kiln, become a member or join a class. Glasgow Ceramics Studio provides regular classes which are open to the public and community groups as well as facilitating outreach workshops. It also runs occasional specialised masterclasses in ceramics and offers firing facilities to artists as well as consultation services.

West Yorkshire Print Workshop

Established in 1984, West Yorkshire Print Workshop is the largest open access printmaking facility in Yorkshire. A friendly, supportive community of artists and printmakers with fully equipped studios for paper and textile screen printing, etching, aquatint, photo-etching and photopolymer gravure, linocut and woodcut, photo-plate and wood lithography, monoprint, drypoint, collagraph and letterpress.

The WYPW houses eleven studio spaces which helps support emerging and established artists. They also present exhibitions and run bespoke printmaking sessions for school groups.
