Jewellery Making Workshops with Mark Fenn

Interested in learning the skills to make your own Jewellery? Then why not take a course of classes with Mark Fenn. Mark will teach you a range of different techniques and skills enabling you to design and create your very own jewellery. Everyone has their own way of learning and level of skill, Mark will work with you at your own pace in a friendly and supportive environment.

Mark will show you the basic skills and then work with you as your skills improve onto more complex techniques. Basic skills include: measuring and marking out metal; sawing, filing, annealing, soldering; various methods of texturing metal; doming, stamping; various ways of finishing metal i.e. high polish to matt. Next level skills include: bezel-setting with either a cabochon (domed) or faceted stone; cold connections e.g. riveting; hand-making a chain with different options for the clasp (either a forged “S” clasp or a “T” bar); granulation; wax carving.
